Average Survey Answers
- Majority of students answered that they are going to college after graduating high school or some form of secondary education.
- Majority of students answered that they have pretty good relationships with most of their teachers but it could be better with a few. In addition a few students stated that even though they do not like their teachers they try to stay on their good sides and be respectful so that way the teacher would have some leniency towards them.
- 3 out of 10 seniors say no to student teacher relationships having an impact on a teen to drop out of high school the other 7 out of 10 say yes. Throughout the 8th graders though, the answers varied from 4 maybes 3 nos and 15 agreeing to their relationships with their teachers having an impetus on students dropping out.
- Everyone agreed to it being important to graduate from high school. Their reasoning was that without a high school diploma you can’t really do anything else. Most jobs won’t hire you and most colleges will accept you.
- The most abundant factors that was given during the survey were: home life, money, stress, gangs,bored in class, motivation, teen pregnancy, student-teacher relationships, self-confidence, not enough help in school, stereotypes, wrong crowds.
- Majority said no, they don’t feel impacted by any of the risk factors besides a few students, The few that said yes only felt impacted by either Stress, uninteresting topics and activities, or the’re relationship with their teachers.
- The most abundant ideas to managing these risk factors are: hang with a better crowd, stay motivated, gain better relationships with your teachers, make school more engageable, have teachers
